A family-owned business, Marathon Spice Rub is a unique blend of herbs and spices formulated in the outdoors of Eastern NC where long days spent afield were highlighted by a meal back at camp for which meat was the focal point. It was not uncommon that the meat of choice for dinner that night would have been scrutinized and determined the day before. It was that important. So creating a rub that would accentuate such a deliberated component of the day was essential. And that is how Marathon Spice Rub was born.
